531 Media is run by Alex Salzman, a network theory economist who spent twenty years studying how trust moves between people, and then built an agency to move it on purpose.
I studied Economics at Princeton and never really stopped studying the same question: how do information, trust and value actually move between people, and what makes them move faster, or stop?
The answer I kept arriving at is that most balance sheets measure the wrong thing. So I named the right one: Total Net Worth: human capital plus relationship capital plus financial capital. Relationship capital is the term almost nobody manages deliberately, and it is the one that compounds.
I have built businesses on that idea twice. Rethos was an online and offline network that connected people, nonprofits and businesses around what they cared about; we founded it while I was at Princeton and sold it to Engagement Labs. Then came Visionary, a decentralised B2B network of networks that arranges trusted meetings between entrepreneurs, investors and executives.
Alongside that I work with several international family offices, operating specific businesses, managing select assets, and reviewing investments that have to offer strategic value alongside the capital, with measurable social or environmental impact.
